Fish and wildlife protection news clippings scrapbook, 1964-1966.

The scrapbook of newspaper clippings was assembled by Don Roberts during his tenure as enforcement officer for the Protection Division, Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game, from 1964-1966. The clippings are from the Anchorage Daily Times, Ketchikan Daily News, Sitka Sentinel, and Fairbanks Daily News-Miner and mostly relate to his work with the Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game.

Donald M. "Don" Roberts, born 1926 in Michigan, served in the Army Air Corps, Philippines, during World War II. In 1952 he drove to Alaska and began working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Anchorage. In 1953 he married Susan Pomeroy of Michigan; they subsequently had four children. Mr. Roberts returned to federal service in Alaska in 1953.
